He's on many wires still: Should he be?

Apr 17 Castilla once again came within one hit of a cycle on Saturday, this time missing the triple.
Recommendation: He's off to a ridiculously good start at the plate, batting .452/.514/.935 in 31 at bats, with three home runs and 11 RBI. You may want to ride this streak a bit longer, but don't be afraid to sell high on Castilla at a moment's notice.

I think the only way he has a chance at being a "steal" is to grab him and trade him right away to a manager desperate for a 3rd baseman.

You think this is just a fluke? I figured him for .280+ easily. Anyone else?

i dunno about that... he hasnt hit 280+ since 1998, and that was in colorado.

I think he could certainly have a solid season. I stayed away from him because he left Coors, but it's not like we've never seen Vinny put up very solid numbers before, whether it's Coors or not. At least you have history that shows he can be very effective...

I think .265 is probably a little more realistic.

It's hard to gauge his worth as a Nat.

Last year he led all 3B with 131 RBI. This year it will probably be considered a huge success for him to get 110 I think. I would pick him up, at least for now. Ride out his (and the Nats) hot streak.

His back issues also hurt but apparently its only affects throwing, not at the plate. He's getting old and he's a toss up.

I believe that he is a fluke. He'll return to Earth real soon, along with others leading April home run hitters.

doesn't he usually have a hot streak leak like this every year? anyhow, he'll come back to earth. he's not worth having in a 12 teamer.
