What does everyone think of Small?

He sure knows how to pitch. Varies speeds a lot and from everything I've watched, its been all positive.

He's never shown he's anything close to this good at any point previously, so I'll write this off as a hot streak; though one that he could ride through the rest of August through the rest of the regular season. I'd hardly consider him a comfortable fantasy starter or anything, though.

Actually with pitchers, you never know. It may just have taken him a long time to learn how to pitch effectively with what he has.

Also, a Yankees starter is always worth a shot. If he continues to pitch like he has, he will have a job. The Yanks have a great offense and he should be in a position to win some games.

Finally, he pitched against a tough team today and showed a lot of guts. If he has another good start, it's time to add him.

He had bad numbers in AAA as a 32 year-old last season. I'll pass and join BigH0rt in writing this off as a hot streak. If this were the old Yankees where he was guaranteed wins I would grab him, but it isn't.

I'm glad he's pitching well to bad the yankees have averaged .5 runs over there last 2 games doh!

He pitched a nice game today and has strung together a bunch of quality starts. I'm happy for him I guess, but in the long run I'll dismiss his impact in fantasy leagues.

My address to my fellow leaguemates: Take him if you want - I really don't care about Aaron Small.

I will not touch him, in any league. Not next year either, even if he throws 3 CGs before the end of the season. The Yankees wouldn't even be touching him if they weren't absolutely desperate (see: Nomo).

Him being on the Yankees is actually a detriment in my opinion, it would have to be a GREAT pitcher for me to get excited over anyone starting against AL East teams consistently.

[The G-Man]

I sat next to him on an airplane flight last year after the final game of the season. He is a super guy and very much down to earth. I'm happy to see him doing well. He deserves it.
