How to Value Cordero and Looper

Postby tmyanks24 » Sat Mar 05, 2005 7:04 pm

What kind of value should I expect in return for Braden Looper and Francisco Cordero in 1-for-1 deals for starting pitchers. I am trying to trade one of them and I need a starter. What should I hold out for?

Cordero, you are looking at a guy in the AJ Burnett range. Him, Mussina, some others. Looper will get you a third starter, which is bad value because I think hes going to have a nice year in 05.

id agree, cordero for burnett, beckett, pavano basically all current or former marlins :-) . and i also agree you should hang onto looper, youre not gonna get anything near to what he may be worth.

Looper is in for a breakout year ... I project 37 to 40 saves .. ERA about 2.75... You can definitely get a better pitcher in return for Cordero
