Yeah I was a little ticked when you got him, I was going to grab him later and platoon. Thought about trading for him for a while too before I made that deal.

Yeah, I believe he's half Japanese and half African American...born in Okinawa, Japan.

I think he's a great mid/late round pick if you need steals. He has 60+ SB potential...he had 33 SB with 1 CS while platooning with the Dodgers last year (that was only 233 AB's to get to 33 SB's...not too shabby!). Of course, injuries seem to plague him at some point each year.

Yeah Tavish confirmed that with this article on another thread.

Great story and I've got a good feeling about this guy in 2005. Very happy with my 15th rounder.

Might just leave the Avatar on a bit longer as well. That bucaneer was starting to bore me.

Roberts will be a lower HR hitting, lower RBI, probably lower avg version of pods who is slightly injury prone. He's fine for a later round pick but don't take him early whatever you do.

Dave Roberts owners should get used to seeing this
No concern – yet
In the morning, Bochy posted a lineup with Dave Roberts batting leadoff as the DH.
But Roberts was a late scratch because of his sore groin. Roberts had missed two days before Tuesday's day off.

"We're going to re-evaluate his groin injury tomorrow," Bochy said. "If it is OK, he'll be out there tomorrow. We have to get him ready. If he misses another day or two, there will be some concern."

Said Roberts: "Were this the season, I'd be playing. Right now, it makes more sense to take an extra day or two and be sure."
