SOUTHSIDE HITMEN wrote:Ozzie influenced K. Williams to trade Lee for some speed. In 5 years we didn't win with Lee and Maggs so Kenny decided to make a move. I think he will steal at least 50 bags this year.

Yes, but he also traded Lee away because he didn't come in hard enough on a slide that was supposed to be retaliation. Ozzie talked a lot of smack against Lee for that. Lee hit a homerun yesterday in ST against the White Sox, and Ozzie had the pitcher blast him in the hip with a pitch....fight almost ensued....not to change the subject.

Ozzie also said the planned to steal more, I wouldn't expect his steals to be affected too greatly

I would think he would steal several but the sox didn't run much last year even when they had the chance so I have my doubts about Ozzie wanting more speed
You don't have to like 'em to own 'em!!!!

As reported by CBS Sportsline:

Manager Ozzie Guillen has told Scott Podsednik that he can "steal as many bases as you can."

Although I don't think Pods is a .244 hitter, I really don't think he is a .314 hitter either. One constant is the speed. My predictions for him this year are maybe a bit on the high side, but playing in Chitown, he should:

1.) Hit a couple more homers (14+)

2.) Have relatively the same number of SBs he had his first year (50+-5)

3.) Also, I think he'll hit around .268

6th or 7th rounder in most leagues

.268
90 Rs
14 HR
60 RBI
55 SBs
