Uhh, Wily buddy...you're 23 years old. Your career has barely started.

Mar 21 Updating an ongoing story, The Dayton Daily News' Hal McCoy reports Cincinnati Reds OF Wily Mo Pena does not want to be dealt to the Washington Nationals or any other team, as he wants to finish his career in Cincinnati

Why would be say this...he's not starting...is he thinking of giving up on baseball or something? I'd like to see him traded because I bet he could be a dangerous HR sleeper if he gets some AB's.

Um maybe he said it cause he likes it there and wants to stay? When was the last time you heard some young baseball player say he wanted to be traded anyways? It's something you say regardless of whether you want to be there or not when your young, it's being professional.

He knows he doesn't have to wait long with Griffey out there.

What else is he going to say?

"Well I'd really like to be traded to some other team."

That would get him lots of love from the fans.

He seems like someone the Braves ought to trade for IMO. I just dont think that Mondesi and Jordan are going to cut it this year.

I am sure his agent is picking up that a lot of teams are in need of OF help, and that his name has been thrown out there a lot. It is probably his plea for the Reds to trade someone else, cause he doesn't want to go.
