Iguchi is hitting .295 this spring in 44 at bats with 0 home runs and 0 steals. Ozzie wants to run a lot though, so he should get his chances in that #2 hole.

he is an interesting pick. although ichiro hit the ground running when he got here, hideki needed an adjustment year and kazuo didnt exactly live up to the hype in his first season. iguchi may need a similar adjustment period. maybe a few months, maybe the whole season. while he has great potential there is still the very real possibility he will have a mediocre year.
