Did I-Rod Get Hurt? He's Not In The Game Anymore

He's not the type to get taken out of games. What's going on?

Yeah, according to the Sportsline ticker, he left after getting hit by a foul tip.

I don't have him, but that's pretty bad news for his owners if it's severe. Usually catches get hit all the time. For him to be taken out, it must have been something a little serious.

He is very injury prone to begin with so his owner's can't have been expecting more than 110 games out of him this year anyway. But one would only have to hope it's precautionary. Tejara also had to leave the game with an ankle injury, meaning the Marlins have lost four of their five starters.

Supposedly he left after a foul ball hit him in the mask and he began to feel "dizzy". The replay looks like he took it in the chin?

He's used to taking balls to the chin, if ya know what I mean. ;-)

He'd probably sit out Sunday's game anyways since he usually sits day games after night games. Hopefully he'll be in the lineup Monday against San Diego.

It shouldn't be serious at all, he just reported dizziness, and he may be held out Sunday as a precautionary, and probably be back in the lineup Monday
