Well, obviously BRob can't keep up these insane HR totals, but even so, I think he's guaranteed at least 10-12 HR's at this point. If you throw in 110+ runs, 10-12 HR's, 60-65 RBI's, 30-35 steals, and a .290 avg, and those stats are not out of his range, I'd say that probably makes him a top 3 2B. Probably as good as a Carl Crawford type that was drafted in the 2nd or 1st round.

No, he won't be a legit 40/40 guy even if he continues this pace for a month. That is such a rare commodity and I really doubt Brian Roberts is going to join that club or come anywhere close to it.

Have BRoberts and it's bittersweet bc Gordon coughed up the HR. At least Gordon only credited with 1 ER.

You make a good pt about testing his bat and all but I had a feeling he'd be good this year with all those doubles he hit last year. I'm glad I got him in the 18th round. Plus I believe in the "27 is career year"

He most certainly won't contine this pace (what like 70 hr pace?) But how do you fake the power? Anyone see his hrs? The ones I've seen have been friggin moonshots, against solid pitchers -- why would that power disappear.

If roberts does this for another couple weeks the 40/40 talk can officially start. Yea its rare, Whos gonna argue that he can't or couldnt steal 40 bags going in to the season -- can he hit 40 hrs? Well looks like he might have developed power. He did hit 50 doubles last year and hes 27 third year inteh league etc etc. Thats a nice lineup hes in too.

He's already in a small group that has the potential to potentially 40/40.

Given that he has hit a grand total of 22 hrs in over 2600 ABS in the minors and majors, to expect he will make a leap to 40 home runs, or even 30, or even to bettering that total in one year is asking a bit much.

Roberts was dumped about 3 weeks before the season started in my league. I was looking for some steals, so I grabbed him. Not right away either. I picked him up a few days before opening day. Needless to say, it was easily the best decision I made so far.
