He has been amazing thus far this season. Alot of people at the Cafe were down on him preseason, but he is performing like the best 2nd baseman in fantasy baseball (aside from B. Roberts, but i'm not sold on him in the long-run). Kent has even been stealing bases (his career high is 13 SB in a season).

What are your thoughts? Anyone think Kent could steal 10-15 bases this year?

Kent picked up his second stolen base tonight. He only stole seven bases last year, so I thought maybe I don't know something about the Dodgers' plan regarding stealing bases. Also, he has been an on-base monster this season, with nine walks on the season. Clearly, it is too early in the season to say he is going to have a monster season. But, I just wanted to see if people are still down on him and view this hot start as a temporary stage before a huge drop-off.

Jim Tracy is not afraid to run. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kent steal around 15 this year. Especially since it's working out so well for them right now...

Kent is golden. He's going to have a great season in LA.

People laughed at me when I drafted him. Saying "have fun hitting in that pitcher's ballpark". Well... he's batting .405 with 3 HRs, 12 RBIs, 14 Rs, and 2 STLs. I'll take it. ;-D

if he can have a .400 avg 2 weeks, he can also have a .200 avg 2 weeks.

when it's all said and done, i agree with eftda that he won't hit over .300 this year. not as certain of that as i was before the season, but i'd still bet on that over him hitting .300+.

I drafted Kent pretty late in one league (7th rd), but the more I thought about it, got cold feet w/his lousy record at Dodger Stadium.Traded him as part of a package to get Tim Hudson, and so far he has proved me dead wrong. He's been terrific ;-D

Kent hit another homer today. Looks like Dodger Stadium isn't slowing him down for now. :-)

I think part of it is that he's happy being back home. That's always hard to quantify.
