I don't even think it's close. I would MUCH rather have Penny.

Cinch call. You mentioned that you could pick up Vidro, so this can't be a deep league. In that case, Lilly is a dime a dozen guy who probably shouldn't be more than the last guy on anyone's staff, if even that.

Penny can be flat out nasty if he's right, and he clocked 97 on Wednesday, so that's a positive sign.

I'll see him here in Las Vegas tomorrow night, and will have comments after the game.

what kind of numbers/projections do you see from both of these guys? i'm thinking penny will also have the better year.

I think Penny can win 14 with an ERA in the lower half of the 3's. 160 K's is a nice projection as well. I like him a lot this season.
