Rumor about Bronson Arroyo?

I heard that Bronson Arroyo may be headed to the bullpen when Wade Miller is activated. Seeing as how he was a sleeper on a number of sites... does anyone know anything about this? He's been less than steallar in his 2 starts so far this year giving up 7 runs in less than 12 IP.

What would he need to do in his next 2 starts to stay out of the Bullpen?

How he pitches today could have a huge effect on whether or not he ends up in the bullpen... watch closely.

Wade Miller added 3 MPH to his fastball in his last outing, and is up to 91 MPH now. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mr Pinchot headed to the bullpen. Wakefield is uaully the guy that gets moved around all over when somebody needs to join the rotation, but he's been pitching too well for bullpen duty. Arroyo on the other hand has been pretty bad.

hmm not sure what to make of this... i guess arroyo would be a nice long reliever... either way i think bronson is at least a year or 2 away from being a legit fantasy performer... if u are in a deep al league or something he might be worth having.. but dont expect much

I think the reason people were high on him was:

1) He plays for Boston (where Pedro Astacio could get 12+ wins)
2) In the second half of 2004, he had a 3.97 ERA, 1.17 WHIP with 75 Ks to only 19 walks.

Last year, April was his toughest month, so he may be a slow starter. But with someone like Wade Miller on the roster, he may not get a chance to get going.....

Word is Wakedfield has been pitching so well that Arroyo goes to the pen when Miller comes back. But Miller will have to pitche lights out to keep the job if Arroyo pitches well himself. Guess its a waiting game right now.
