What about Clint Barmes...

What do you guys think about him. Do you think I should trade him in a package now while hes hot for say a Nomar? Or should I keep him and see if he can keep it up?

Also, I play in a weekly league, so its not as easy to do a platoon for his homegames.

Here is what I said about Barmes in my free agent market watch column on my site...

Clint Barmes, 2B/SS, Colorado

Barmes is no Tejada or Soriano, but he is playing full-time in Coors Field. In a world where guys like Jack Wilson are getting starts at middle-infield spots, Barmes makes a solid option, especially if you have the roster space to bench him on the road.

I'm riding him while Crosby mends, and obviously I couldn't be happier. Combine the Coors factor with hitting in front of Helton and I think the guy will be productive for most of the season.

If you can trade him for nomar, by all means do it, good luck

Barnes is as hot as player as there is right now, a perfect trade high canidate, Id deal him for:

tejada, jeter, nomar, young w/o thinking twice

Id also trade him for ocab, renteria, rollins without thinking

He's goign to be a good SS all yr though, Im guessing he'll finish with comparable numbers to renteria or ocab, but Id rather have the guarenteed commodity

Right, Im thinking exactly what you are agchris. The guy who has Nomar isnt the brightest in the world, and his pitchers have been roughed up, so Im thinking about trading Barmes and someone like Hampton for Nomar. Tell me if you see any potential trades, and thanks again.

Check out Barmes' stats at home at Coors vs. away.

Just like many COL players, bench him unless he's playing at home.

Barmes will get .290-100-20-75-15 if he continues to bat leadoff/second. Those are great stats for a 2b.

I'd say keep him in the lineup @ Philly for these couple of games, though.

I know, I would definity platoon him, but im in a weekly league, so once you set your lineup for the week it is done. It is still possible to bench him if they have all road games, but usually he has like 1 hom and 1 away series so its a bit more difficult...
