Jeez, 4 HR, 9 SB, this guy is insane. He has to steal more than 20 now, easily, with 9 already and no sign of slowing down.

Watching him on local television, all the replays show him getting some great jumps. Saw a little of that last year. Maybe he's developing as a base stealer.

Well, his most previous jump was so great that MacDougal hadn't even begun his windup. MacDougal wielded around for what looked to be an easy pickoff but sailed the ball past the shortstop into centerfield. Thusly, Hunter is awarded his 9th steal.

I believe Hunter will top out at 30 steals since he has a history of bad knees. Start thinking about selling high in a few weeks.

Until he gets caught why not just let him run. The guy is a great athlete. I could see over 30 providing he is healthy.

I think that this can continue. There is absolutely no question that he has the speed. The current evidence is that he is learning to get a good read on the pitchers. You combine those two things, and he could steal a lot of bases this year.

Does anyone know if Tori has stolen this many bases in so few games played before?

Why the sudden explosion?

It's obvious.....because I've had him on my bench.

You watch Guillen will hit a grand slam and steal 4 tomorrow because he is going to sit for Torii.

last year, when he had 21 total SB, he had 9 of them between 7/19 and 8/03, a span of 14 games. during that streak, he was 9/9.

so far he has 10 steals in 17 games. i think he is still 100%, so 10/10.

i guess a streaky base stealer, but who knows, he could be in for a career year.
