He just provides stupid, insipid comments to his partner Hughes. Its so bad, they have elevated the two to an Abbott & Costello gig and replay bits of commentary throughout the day on WGN.

I agree. Many times they will miss plays in the game because they are talking about cookies or something. Its sad to listen too. Santo is sort of like Harry Cary, but without the excuse of being drunk by the fifth inning for his odd comments.

You know who else is pretty bad, and I hate to say this because we're like three weeks into the season: Ron Darling, on Nats games. Their radio team is pretty good, but Darling sounds like a sixth-grader trying out for the debate team.

[quote="Sticky Spice"]I can't believe people who like Joe Morgan's announcing. He is so dull and he grates on my last nerve. I ESPECIALLY hate how he always uses the word comfortable because he pronounces it weird. Bugs the crap outta me.[quote]

No way, Morgan is better than most out there! He breaks down what is going on in the game and gives it to you in layman terms. If anything, Miller sounds a little dumb at times. It seems that Miller annoys Morgan at times.

santo is so bad, that i actually enjoy him. that is some funny stuff. i remember a 15-minute play-by-play last summer of two guys throwing sandwiches to each other from their respective boats. BOATS. on the lake.

also pretty funny when you get santo going about cheesecake. that stuff is classic. so random, it borders art.

yeah, yes...

When did Chip leave Wrigley? And someone around here uses Santos as their 'name'...

Yes and I can't stand him. Makes watching the LLWS very painful.
At least when its the pros I can mute him.
