I don't think Perez is at all right, and would not be surprised if there's a DL trip down the road. His velocity is okay, but there's not much movement on the ball, not compared to what I saw last season. He had a stiff shoulder in ST, and I still feel as though there's something going on here.

That said, I'd still take a shot on him for free. I'd drop Castillo or Counsell, neither of whom should be rostered in a 10 team league. Probably Castillo since you have a high end 2B in Vidro.

I have not seen him pitch, however, judging by his stats he is the same pitcher that he was in 2003. High K's and walks.

Going into this season I was not a fan of Perez at all. He is garbage when considered where he's being drafted. He gets K's but that's it. He has some nice stuff, but for this season he will have no command. The Perez you see NOW is what you will see all year. He was way to lucky last year and that attributed to his low ERA. I just don't see Perez ever being a dominate pitcher in the major leagues. He might rack up K's, but he's using way too many pitches to do it and his command is just horrible. He has HUGE BUST THIS YEAR written all over him!

he is killin me. I dont want to get rid of him because i know what he is capable of doing, but this is just getting ridiculous. Hopefully he can turn things around next month and get rolling. Its too early to write him off yet....but hopefully the best part of his season is around the corner

I was not a big fan of Ollie going into this year's draft...but if you can get him cheap or off waivers, he isn't a bad guy to stash on the bench and hope he gets it together! ;-D
