Encarnacion?

This guy has to be on alot of WWs... He was always touted as being better than he has. Is this a small breakout year?

Small breakout year is a good choice of words. Shouldn't be a superstar, but he has enough talent that he can take advantage of that sick offense hitting ahead of him with RBI opps and if he hits in the two hole, he should see good pitches to hit.

He's a very ordianry hitter and shouldn't be anywhere near any sized roster in mixed leagues. Expect this hot start to end very soon (if it hasn't already). Put it this way, the guy has exploded out of the boxes yet is still only hitting .293.

He's not very likely to hit another grand slam for you...he's over his quota already!!

Yeah same here. If you have him, sell him while you can still get a carrot for him.....or at least a similar vegetable.

He's had decent seasons before, and I don't see how a 2003 like season (minus the 19 steals) aren't in the realm of possibility. As long as he's hitting behind Cabrera and Delgado, the RBI opportunities will definitely be there. I am not a huge Encarnacion fan, as I remember the days of watching him here in Detroit when his strike zone judgement was at it's worst, but it looks like he's in a good situation at the moment and capitalizing on it. Although as mentioned before, selling high would be the best thing to do.

I don't expect any of us to give him a permenant spot in our line-ups, but he is hitting very well right now and this upcoming week he will be in Coors & Phillies' bandbox! If he can hit like this for another week or two, I'll gladly plug him into my last OF spot!

True, he's a decent option for a roster spot for this week if you have the room but long term he's a terrible option.
