I only read scouting reports and stats but has anyone actually seen him pitch? If you have, I would like to hear from you. Thanks. ;-D

Bedard is a good looking pitcher. He has a plus fastball that is normally in the low 90's and a good breaking ball. Both can be reliable out pitches.

In the games where he has pitched well his success has hinged on getting ahead in the count and pitching inside. He has done both of those things well when I've had the chance to watch him this season. Last night he was particularly effective in those areas; he handcuffed a lot of hitters.

I think he will still struggle with command from time to time this season but he is on his way to establishing himself as a good major league starter.
