Dude... you need to trade Haren for Kolb RIGHT NOW. If that offer is on the table... pull the trigger quickly. Kolb is a very solid pitcher. Not elite, but very solid. If it's not on the table, I don't think the other guy would accept it. Trade Haren first, and if he doesn't take Haren, then let him have Thomson.

I can't believe someone would even consider Haren for Kolb. Haren is on waivers in like half my 10-man leagues and even some of my 12-man leagues recently. But hey go for it if you can, I just can't imagine Kolb's value's dropped that much unless you have really panicky people in your league.

I'm in a keeper, and I have Haren for two bucks. No way in hell would I trade Haren for Kolb. No way.

Yeah I'm just referring to season leagues and the perceived value of both. In a season league I would pick up Haren of the waivers (like I said he's on waivers in almost half the leagues) and trade him for Kolb if I could, especially in the one or two leagues where I could use a little help at closer. I don't play keepers though, so I can't speak to that, but I'll take your word for it.

Ehh... I don't know if I'd make the deal for the future, then. If Kolb had job security as a closer for years, then hell yes, but I don't think he's going to be a closer his whole career. Braves will probably lose him when he's a FA. If you want to win right now, do it, Kolb should close for atleast two more years, your staff is juiced, and Haren isn't that spectacular anyways.
