Funniest Thing You Have Heard a Broadcaster Say

Postby SouthBronxBombers » Sun May 08, 2005 10:56 am

Last night, while watching the Milwaukee-Mets game, the Milwaukee color guy said the following:

"You know, when Pedro has not allowed a man on base, he's had one, two, three innings."

At least he qucikly realized what he had said and made fun of himself.

Llegend has it years ago during a Cubs game, the camera man started focusing on a couple making out in the stands. Harry Carry then offered the following assessment: "Hey, I figured it out. He kisses her on the called strikes and she kisses him on the balls."

Tom Grieve made fun of Aaron Boone last night for failing to get out of the way of a slow curve ball. He said "well when you're batting .118 (or whatever it was yesterday) then you'll take a base however you can get it."

I thought it was pretty funny....and oh so true.
