Utley Utterly Anoying

I can't believe this guy isn't full time yet. The fact that he has to platoon is almost insulting with his stats he's throwing up. How do you bench a player after he has a 2 homer game? Anyone heard anything on his playing time increasing? If he continues to platoon, I might look elsewhere.

...yeah....I'm erked. <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>

He plays against righties and sits against lefties (whom he does not hit well). Play him against righties and sit him against lefties. If you have a decent backup start him when the Phillies face a lefty. He'll give you better numbers there than Utley will (even if Utley played against leties).

Utley is a B.A. so I refuse to sit him. This isn't really a question with my lineup. Just more of an information seeker. I just want the Phillies to wake up and dump some of their old talent by ASB so my boy gets more playing time.

Plus, he sits out more often than just against lefties.

I dont know about you but I would rather take his part time stats over D Young (my backups) stats any day.

I play in a weekly rotation so its a do it or dont situation.

I did it last week and was more than happy. Less at bats with more hits is better than less hits with more at bats.

I think it's just a matter of time before the Phillies find a way to play him everyday. He has too much talent and you can't learn to hit lefties by sitting. I could see either a Bell injury or a Polanco trade opening the door for Chase.

By mid season (at the latest) he'll be starting full time.

Smartest way of looking at it. Thank you for the response!
