Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

John Smoltz...first man to injure himself while ironing his shirt....that is he burned himself while attempting to iron his shirt while still wearing it. Most notably, Lew Ford has apparently followed in Smoltz's footsteps.

Although he probably won't win the award, I think Clint Barmes should receive a nomination for ruining a ROY award by carrying groceries/hunk of meat.

Barmes certainly warrants a nomination. Sasaki got on my list for blowing out his back while carrying his luggage to his hotel room. Only Sasaki was a millionaire at the time and that 3? dollar tip would have apparantly set him back.

What about Carl Everett? I mean, I know he proved that dinosaurs don't exist, but cmon..
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

I probably vote for Rogers, as he reduced himself to Kevin Brown status with his idiocy.
