Podsednik got punched going for a foul ball

It was more incidental contact as even the WSox did not complain about it. Had it been serious, they certainly would have.

And besides, you go into the stands for a foul ball in enemy territory you can hardly expect to be greated with a polite "Let's get out of his way". Yankee haters looking for something that does not exist...typical of this board and nothing new.

Atrophying Testicles! You Yankee hater!

This isn't a big deal, just a funny picture. Then again, I didn't think that the Sheffield incident was a big deal either, and more contact was made here than in the Sheffield incident.

A huge difference: Sheffield was on the field, in fair territory.

So if he leaned six inches over and crossed the magic boundary, the fan would have your permission to punch him. Got it.

That doesn't make a big difference. It only matters cause it was in fair territory when it was with Sheffield. It really wouldn't matter if he was on the field or not depending on the force of the punch.

A huge difference: Sheffield is a Yankee; Pods was punched in Yankee stadium. You know that if the facts were reversed, Blankman would be finding reasons to argue the other way. But that's ok; this is as about unbiased as we can get him.

The only fact is that Podsednik wasn't even punched.

either was sheff.

basically, this was the same kind of deal. did they mean to punch the player? maybe. kinda looks like it, but impossible to say. did either of the players get hurt? no, not really.

is it silly to start splitting hairs between the two situations? pretty much.
