Yankee fans, you should be celebrating a win right now, not thinking up thing about the Red Sox to whine about.

Some people make me :-/

Hmmm...this was started either last night or this morning.

You've got no clue what you're talking about.

I will only take the time to give you just one reason to hang your head in shame after that reply:

I think that most cafe members (even Yanks fans) would agree that Fenway is an incredible place to watch a game. It has so much history and it has such personality--sold out every single game. Thee isnt a stadium I;d rather go to than Fenway.

If you say so.

Wrigley has charm even if it is the only place in the US you take a leak in a trough.

Fenway?...well there is nothing good to say.

You're astoundingly smart to note that this thread was started before tonights game, but people are still talking about it, yes? ;-7

What does it matter if Fenway is a horrible field or not? It's not going to be torn down anytime soon, so deal with it. I've been to Fenway 3 times, and they were the 3 best baseball games of my life. The atmosphere, the smell, the tight seats, the crazy drunken fans in the bleachers, and the monster looming in left field are all unmatched IMO.

BTW, to whoever said the playing field was bad, it was completely torn up and redone, and is now probably one of the best. Get your facts straight.

Guru- Its a thread thats been going on in a public forum. People can post whenever they like. There's no moronic rules about when you can post in reference to the performance your actual team; its just retarded to think that.

Personally, I think the dimensions of Fenway make it awesome! I think it adds a bunch of interesting quirks to the game. It makes the park both a pitchers park and a hitters park (if that makes sense). Plus, it adds tons of strategy to the games when it comes to determining lineups etc. For instance, I think that teams should just load their lineups with left-field hitters at Fenway because any semi-deep fly ball will hit or clear the monster. Also, there is no need for a good defensive LF (look at Ramirez hahaha). However, there is an obvious need for good outfielders in both CF and RF. Fenway creates a totally different baseball game, which in my opinoin makes it more interesting.

Most of the Yankee fans seem to be pro-fenway.

Let's not forget the worst thing about Fenway: the team that plays there. That being said...

I've seen one game there, and to be honest, I didn't really like the ballpark that much. The Sox should continue to play there.

As for the dimensions, they're a great feature. Not only making the game more interesting strategically, it just shows the love of the game, when people wanted a ballpark and didn't need the "perfect" spot for it where the dimensions could be perfectly symmetrical. People didn't need the ultimate in comfort and the perfect engineering. They came to watch the game. They put it where they could, where people could access it easily so they could watch the game. (Don't know if I'm phrasing that well) It may not be Camden Yards, but its still an invaluable part of baseball.
