Return to Baseball Leftovers

When do you predict Beltran will go in 06?

Wow I guess I was very wrong in my assumptions about Beltran. There is no way in hell I'd use a 2nd, 3rd round pick for him. I'd assume there will be a lot safer choices although not as sexy as Beltran in those rounds. Why take the chance that eary?

I would say 3rd round. It seems like the usual area where studs fall to if they have off years.

Exactly and some people will draft him late first.

i don't know who these some people are, but late second / early third feels about right.

If you check the thread that said "Next years first round" A lot of people had him at #12.

I know that fantasy baseball is all about "what have you done for me lately?", but am I the only one who sees him as a bargain in the late second?
Given his age, his numbers for the four years leading up to this year and the fact that their are reasons for his decline that are less likely to be a factor next year (new league, lingering leg injury), he still seems like a great fantasy pick.
You might say I would be drafting the name, but I have looked at his stats.
If he slips, you're a fool if you don't grab him next year.

Depends on how many keepers, but unless it's one keeper and I have Pujols, he's being kept.

I'm in a 4-keeper. Commish owns him, Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, and Halladay. He won't let go of any of those guys.
