With another HR to go along with a double today, his incredible hitting since returning continues. Is he capable of finally becoming a solid run producer?

Yuck :-P Just went yard for a 3r shot of my Dan Haren. Who's Pena think he is? That makes 5 HR in 12 ABs since returning.

Since his return he's been cutting into Shelton and Dmitri's playing time, but I'm unsure at this point whether or not he has reclaimed his starting job. :-?

I was pretty high on this guy coming into this season. I really thought he would break out. Unfortunately he wasted his walk year at AAA so he needs to salvage the season now that he is getting a second chance. For some reason, I just don't think he'll blow it.

Tram is playing him at DH. Young is the one losing at bats. Shelton will keep his job. What this is doing is increasing the chances of Pena being traded in the off season and getting something better in return. They will package Pena,Monroe and Maroth looking for a corner outfielder that has power from the left side. Since Maggs is the right fielder that leaves left field.Looks like Granderson will be the centerfielder next year.

I was super high on him too at the start of the year, even had him begged as a potential Beltre like story. IE hyped up prospect rushed up and super disappointing and his plate approach like Beltes last year looked so improved this year. Then he stunk the place up and made me look stupid.

He is hot, but keep in mind how streaky he's been in his career.

As long as the Tigers are out of the running and it's after the all-star break, Pena will hit. I would think he'd play as long as a righty is on the mound.
