How about "The Ballpark in Arlington" ? I guess they figure Texans aren't smart enough to remember what city the stadium is in. I live in Texas so I can get away with saying that. :-D

Hey!! It is not dumb at all.

If it helps, I bowled in a league about 6 years ago and our sponsor was guess who? Citizen's State Bank!!

No joke.

We won the League Title that year under their sponsorship!! It is the only time that I have won the League Title and I have been bowling in leagues for about 10 year now.

We are thinking of bringing them back, since we had just good luck with them.

Hope this helps.

Citizens Bank incidentally is the biggest bank here in Pittsburgh after they took over Mellon Bank a year or so ago. PNC stole the rights to naming PNC Park so they got them back across the state I guess ... ;-)

They had to have the word "Arlington" in texas' stadium name, because much of the cost of the park was paid for by Arlington resident's tax dollars. It was part of the deal. That's also the reason that they have $1 ticket days for Arlington city residents throughout the season.

That said, I thought the name was dumb too when the park first opened. Now i have just gotten used to it.

Agreed.
There is nothing worse than nameing your field "Petco Park"
I suppose that we will have the option of buying calenders with photos of all the players pets.. How about Dog/Frisbee shows during the 7th? Maybe fire hydrants in the bullpen? Cat litter on the warning track instead of dirt? Catnip and saltlicks instead of sunflower seeds?
