Start him. I'm predecting 7 IP, 2 ER, 6 K's. And I guarentee that he'll get you a win. (not a guarentee)

I'd start him. My thinking is Chacon is as safe a start at Coors as there is, so if he faces a bad team like the Padres, you have to start him.

I was curious about Chacon early in the year after hearing he played HS ball in Colorado. I think he is doing well because he is used to pitching in that altitude. It isn't exactly like runners doing high altitude traing to gain an oxygen conversion increase rate in the blood stream, it's more being able to have your breaking ball and curve working in the thinner air. Chacon gets them working better than other pitchers, and thus has an advantage is my theory. his actual talent level is tougher to judge. He's probably a better than average young pitcher who has a knack for pitching at altitude.

I would sit him even against the Padres. You probably also thought it was safe to start him in Coors against the Royals, who aren't much better than the Padres a week ago and he gave up 12 earned runs. Starting him is asking for trouble; heck even having Chacon on a fantasy roster is asking for trouble.
