I'll say .312-35-128.

I know. I think he will do good, just not as good as he's doing right now. <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>

I'm not really into predictions - obviously he is having another killer year.

I'm more concerned about his 'true value'. He did this a couple years ago, and the critics claimed it was a one year fluke. When he did not follow up with similar numbers, his critics appeared coorect. His draft staus fell, and another average year followed, This year, he has again gone on a tear, which will falsely (?) raise his value in next years draft....but by how much? Where should he go in next years draft? I still wouldn't take him in the first 3 rounds, so I'll probably miss out on him. Personally, I'd look at maybe 6th round or so depending on how my draft went, but I'm damn sure he won't be there next year.

Would I be missing out by not taking him earlier?

He suprised me a couple of years ago too. I can't believe he's doing it again. I wouldn't take him in my top 5 next year. Let someone else take the chance on him.

Boone will at least hit 40 HRs, with an average about .300, and 120+ RBIs. Honestly, I don' tknow where he'll go in most drafts next year. Given his age, I probably wouldn't gamble on him in the first few rounds. But all I know is that he's been an outstanding 10th round draft pick for me this year!!!

Excellent pick in the 10th round. That's what I don't get. I'm sure if you looked at the guys picked before him, you'd get a good chuckle.

He went in the 6th round in my draft this year, but not by me. :-t

No joke. There were a lot of boner picks before Brett Boone. Shoot, I picked Ramon Ortiz above him in Round 8. I also picked Shawn Green in Round 3. So right there, I made two picks before Boone that have really sucked so far. But, at 2B, aside from Kent and Vidro, Alomar and Durham were both picked ahead of Boone, which looks really silly now.

Well, if he does it again this year, his value skyrockets to Jeff Kent status. Second or third round pick next year.
