For debate: In '06, Utley or Beltran?

When Beltran...errr Matt Lawton...hits and runs in Shea like he did in KC or Houston, I will consider it. Take Utley. Beltran in NY is damaged goods until proven otherwise. Tak ethe slugging 2b. Let the slumping over-hyped OF be someone else's head ache.

Beltran had only one year of 38 homers. Otherwise his career high is exactly one more than Utley did in his first full season (and he did not even have the starting job for the first 6 weeks or so). It's fairly easy to see Utley hit 30 homers in his homepark, year-in & year-out. Can one say the same for Beltran in Shea?

interesting to note that another IFer who qualifies at 2B 3B and SS had 17-62-18 .291 to beltran's 16-78-17 .266......so instead of comparing cutley to cbeltran maybe you should look closely at......BILL HALL
