How does my final offensive numbers compare to other winners

Postby socceryank » Sun Oct 02, 2005 11:23 pm

Won my league by 0.5 (depending on the final Yahoo update tomorrow). my team was stacked on offense (except for SB), and just curious how it would have compared to other winners.

Runs: 927
HR: 277
RBI: 934
SB: 82
Avg: .296
OPS: .894

My team:
C VMart
1B Ortiz
2B Biggio
3B Arod
SS Young
OF Matsui
OF Bay
OF Sheffield
Util Giambi / Floyd

10 team private league, and yes...very competitive. Made some shrewd trades!
C M. Montero
1B AGonz
2B Uggla
3B Zimmermann
SS Jeter
OF J Upton, McCutcheon, Choo
Util Kendrys Morales
BN Pena
DL Gardner
SP Gallardo, Bumgarner, Latos, Zimmermann, Luebke, Jaime Garcia, Hughes, Burnett
RP League, Marshall, Betancourt

I won my 10-team league (very competitive, won with 72 points, next best had 71) with these numbers (cat. points in parentheses).

R -- 883 (6)
HR -- 254 (9)
RBI -- 950 (9)
SB -- 77 (2)
Avg -- .283 (7.5)
W -- 100 (10)
S -- 80 (3)
K -- 1324 (10)
Holds -- 78 (10)
ERA -- 3.63 (5.5)

I was actually in sixth place, trailing by around 15 points about a month ago and rallied after Bonds came back. I won wins, K and holds despite having a staff that was originally anchored by Kerry Wood.

"anchor" is a really good way to describe wood... he sure dragged down one of my teams this year. :-/

won my one public league by 15 points....

sluggin fireballs

Code: Select all
runs Hrs RBIs  steals  BA  wins  saves  k's  era  whip
805  201  794  121   .281   89    165  1042  3.15 1.20
11   7.5   11   10    10    12     12    12    12   12

i got the perfect 12's in pitching and if I had paid better attention to the team throughout the year, i might had had a chance for a better offensive score as well......

standard 5X5 12 team

Runs- 791
Hr's- 193
Rbi's- 749
Sb's- 112
Avg.- 2.73

Wins- 93
Sv's- 109
K's- 947
Era- 3.33
Whip- 1.23

nothing spectacular, but I am proud of that ERA which I think is a difficult thing to keep down. otherwise pretty balanced.
