Randy Wolf, how good is he exactly?

Postby Derrcik » Thu Jun 19, 2003 2:44 am

I was looking at the Yahoo overall rankings, and I noticed that he's the 5th best SP out there. Is he legit, a top-10 type of guy, on the level of Pedro, Prior, Moose, Morris, Mulder, Halladay etc. or is he a tier below those guys (i.e. Miller, Clement, Beckett)?

I think he is below the level of Pedro, Moose, Mulder and Halladay but not by much. He is in that 10th to 20th tier with pitchers like Miller, Perez, Colon, etc. He is way better than Clement and Beckett, but those guys are really 3rd tier starters anyway.

Wolf gets better as the season goes along just look at his 2nd half split stats. He will get his respect next year in fantasy league drafts because he will be considered among the top ten starters in the game. I would put him somewhere between the 5th and the 10th best starters in all of baseball right now.

jdh he's in the 10th tier???? I like first tier and second tier players, hell even third tier players are productive. You like tier 10-20 player? DAMN!!!!!!!!!!
The odds of the AL MVP coming from the American League are looking pretty good.

I meant in the second tier. I would rank him somewhere between #11 and #20 among starting pitchers.

:-[ He's good all right...so good that when I offered the coach that has him on his team Mike Lowell...he turned me down.....
Wolf is a player....
