They better hold him out considering how much they overpitched him last year.

He's young and could handle the workload.

Being a cub fan, you should know what heavy workloads do to young pitchers arms. I would think after what Dusty Baker did to Prior you would agree with the M's decisions.

Dusty didn't do anything to hurt Prior's arm... at least not this year. And Kerry's arm is dead because he can't pitch. He just throws.

Also, look at Zamby... he gets a ton of innings and is just fine (well, other than looking at too much computer porn).

I'm just saying it's easy to blame Dusty for the pitching problems, but it's not entirely his fault.

Back on topic... if I was F-Her (why don't we use that more often?) I'd probably be a little P.O.'ed about this. Mariners fans better hope he doesn't hold a grudge down the road when he's eligible for FA!
:-o

He is their ace already, thats how weak that staff is. Moyer is no longer an ace, he is a nice piece, but not an ace. I wouldn't risk my etire pitching staff's success on these games. I don't blame the M's.

The M's staff is weak, but I have a feeling that Felix would be the ace on most teams.

I agree in 2 years. He wouldn't be the ace on most teams right now. He definately wouldn't be an ace on any contender for at least 2 years. 19 year olds just aren't aces. He has great stuff, but to be an ace you have to have some experience.

I think he is a stud and will be a stud in the future, but let's just wait and see how he does when hitters see him a few times, before we say he's a full blown ace.

He's atleast earned status as a solid number 2 on any major league team.

Someone named Doc Gooden would beg to differ. ;-)
