Report: Yankees make offer to Nomar

No word on the length, or amount of the contract but Nomar would play 1B.

Heard this on Mike & Mike in the morning.

Yea this is a terrible idea...why would they need NOmar...his muscles are probably rotting from all the roids

A Nomar signing by the Yanks does not fill their needs imo, and even if Nomar stays healthy and plays great this year, I still don't think this improves their team that much over last year as offense was not one of their main problems.

i dont think it'll be a major contract, so it'll be a low risk/high reward deal. if he can continue from where he left off last season and can learn 1b he'll be able to help keep the yankee lineup from being too tired like they were last year.

He might have 3B eligibility also. Not 100% though. :-?
