I like the list...one comment would be regarding Lidge, as a an owner most likely maintaining Lidge as 1 of my keepers, I am slightly concerned about his postseason last year. But the way I see it as long as his mechanics haven't changed and he can still throw the same pitches, he should still be dominant.

Another note, would be that if Benitez is healthy coming into spring training, which I think he is, I would definitely nab him before Turnbow, Guardado, and F.Cordero...even though the Marlins have become terrible...the save ops should still be there....thougths?

I might just be dreaming and biased, but I feel that Mo won't get as many save opportunities this year. With the addition of Damon the Yanks should be putting up some runs, and outscoring their horrible pitching by a good amount. Their pitching should lower their ERA by a teensy bit this year ;-D Just my .02

I'd slip in R Soriano of Seattle. His numbers to finish 05 were old vintage Soriano. Cabrera of Cleveland is also rp I'd consider drafting in middle reliever tier.

You might have a point...fantasy wise for 2006...

if one was considering value to an MLB team and past performance, then Mo is in a Tier all to himself absolutely no doubt to that, but as a fantasy closer in 2006, he may be equaled by several of those in 2 tier, such as Lidge and Nathan.

I think if I were drafting I would take KROD over Wagner too...just personal preference, and I am a Met fan.

I think Izzy and Ryan Dempster should be moved up a tier. Izzy had great stats last year.

How come my boy Gagne isn't higher? I don't think that just because he was injured last year he should be anything lower than tier 2. He was still 8 for 8 last year in save oppurtunities with a .98 whip and a 2.70 ERA. That's a fairly high ERA for him but he was just coming off of an injury. When Gagne is healthy you know he's giving you 45-50 saves a year with a great ERA and WHIP. I'd hate to start a huge arguement here, but I think he should be higher.

My initial set of rankings had him in tier 2 but alot of people earlier in this thread said there were too many questions and that he should be moved down a tier.

I think Street ends up with around the same numbers as the guys in Tier 2. I also think CoCo should be bumped up a tier, as the new Ranger SPs should give him more save opps.
