Tejada tells O's he wants to stay

Sorry if this was posted or talked about elsewhere...

So now he wants to stay, even after all the trade rumors and angry outlashes. Go figure.

What a relief for the Orioles. They were going from bad to worse if they dealt him.

Does anyone think that all the ridiculousness might push him down a bit? I think he's a great player but, at the same time, being cranky doesn't seem to work for most players. Not like the second round but maybe down a couple of slots or something like that?

I'm curious what the organization has done to change his mind? They haven't signed anyone in the last few days that would make them seem like a contender.

From the comments, I think that he's trying to say that his comments were blown out of proportion by the media. I didn't see any 'live' interviews so I can't really corroborate this. If the café is any example, I can kind of see how something like that could get blown up out of an off the cuff comment as people get dusted off for baseball season!

The conversation went like this, "Sorry Miguel, we aren't getting what we want for you. You might want to make a statement, otherwise the O's fans are gonna be pissed." Miggy, "I don't want everyone to think I'm a selfish dink, I suppose I should say something."
