time to cut everett?

The man has not done anything for almost 2 months now. I don't think the white sox lineup is as good as Texas', and I don't think Everett will put up numbers like he did in the begining of the year ever again. Your thoughts?

I've had him benched, but started him today because he had 2 games.

I haven't dropped him yet, but I'm pretty sure I will soon. Chicago is only going to get uglier for Everett. When he starts getyting ripped in the media and by the fans, Everett will be god awful. He can't play CF for them, so it looks like a deal already gone bad for the Sox.

I traded Everett, at the tail end of his hot streak, along with Jacque Jones for Shawn Green. Although Green still hasn't turned it on yet, I've had no regrets.

Basically, I don't think he'll be putting up the kind of numbers he was earlier in the season.

I think the change of scenery can't hurt, and if you'll notice, the Sox have him running a lot more. Of course, he had a CS yesterday, but it was with 2 outs and 2 strikes on Joe Crede, so it really didn't hurt the team. If he can just get a few more HR's and start getting SB's in the second half, he'll be somewhat worth it. Although I also have him benched at the moment.

I got Shawn Green strait up for Carl Everett.

Green looks like he is beginning to heat up too.
