at this point he's a decent backup in a 5x5. i don't expect him to move out of the 7-8 spot in the batting order, so his value will be limitied, but if you're in a keeper that keeps a lot or one that you can keep him cheap in a salary league, he's going to be a very good #2 hitter, probably next year though.

As a Cub fan, I love Ronny Cedeno. However I don't think he is the best fantasy option. I think he is a combo of Rafeal Furcal and Ceasar Izturis.

I got stuck with him in my main (14-team roto) league. 18 SS had gone before I grabbed him, all the guys like Greene and Hardy I wanted were picked as backups by other guys. Happy so far. Though having pitchers hitting behind him, and Barrett clearing the bases in front so often kinda hurts his value.

Well, I think he'll hit .300, and that could be enough to get him into the #2 spot in the lineup. Or we can all just hope Juan Pierre gets hurt and they move Ronny to leadoff. :-D

well, he's hitting second, now...but with d.lee out, it's almost off-setting.

Not to mention the fact that Dusty seems to have him bunt every time Pierre get on base in front of him. :-P

he needs to do more running to be useful. while he seems to have decent speed i dont see him running enough to be attractive. he should have a solid average but will be below average in the the other categories. solid real life player, just not going to put up good 5x5 stats this year.

He's a non-option in my league that counts Errors, thats for sure. I watched him throw from SS to 1B the other day except it went straight into the crowd...

i took a look at his splits, and he's got a .212 avg against lefties and .398 vs righties...i know its a small sample (135 total at bats) but it is pretty extreme, and he isn't even a lefty. anyone know if he was like this in the minors?
