Is Brad Hawpe for real??

Sleepers, updates, strategy, advice ... if it doesn't fit one of the more specialized categories, it goes right here! (Note: Please do NOT post trade, keeper or 'rate my team' questions - they have separate forums.)

Yeah I just picked him up so I hope he's for real. I liked what he did for me last night. ;-D

I sure hope so. He has probably the best raw power of the rookies from last year, and he has it to all fields. Its all about putting it together. He worked last weekend with Duane Espy and Clint Hurdle on his stance and posistioning of his hands, and look what its done for him so far! ;-D

Yea I just picked him up as well. I'm loaded at OF (my entire bench is OF only) but I think I can find some playing time for him. Can't wait to see what he can do over a whole season in Colorado.

I've always thought he was for real but no one else thought so. He worked out a lot this past winter and is faster/stronger. I can't really drop anyone at the moment for him as I'm in a shallow league

I don't think no one else thought that, I mean he was doing good in the 1st half last year before he got injured. He just had to develop his power, which he seems to be doing.

I'm glad we didn't decide to platoon him! ;-D

The only thing I am concerned about is whether he will split time with Freeman, Marrerro and Shealy. Any thoughts?

No... especially with the way he is playing... Shealy isn't going to play OF now and will be traded soon I believe.

Freeman and Marrero shouldn't be in the lineup half the time. :-t

I'm thinking of burning my #2 waiver to grab him before this homestand. My team's a little thin at OF with Wilkerson and Mench doing nothing so far.
