i thought shawn mcevoy did a great job with that column last year. it is a pretty useful tool for people in weekly leagues. what's weird is if you go back and look at last years columns they are credited to a differnent guy, but i'm pretty sure i remember mcevoy writing them.

How deep can you get with a top-50 list?

Funston blows goats. I have proof.

Snakes Gould wrote:why do you guys kill funston over and over again?? i personally do not take his advice into consideration because he targets people who are not "experts" like ourselves... if he writes too deep, he'll turn certain people away. I dont know, i just dont think you should look too deep into his "expert analysis".

People bash Funston because he considers himself an expert, yet shows time and time again that he's not.

If Yahoo wants someone to "dumb things down" for the average Joe that doesn't get as deep into fantasy baseball as most of us do, then that's fine, but make sure not to classify that person as an "expert".

Have something like "Regular Dave" and "Expert Ron", but don't have one writer who claims to be an expert, yet continues to show that he's not. Make sense? :-)

Believe it or not, Funston is actually an exceptional basketball player. Quick, good handle, good game awareness, strong to the hoop. You wouldn't know it by looking at him.

did funston get fired by espn? or did they just opt not to keep him from going to yahoo?

I like karabell so much more than that guy.

I hate Engel for Fantasyfootball, and Funston for baseball. The good thing is, he is usually really late on trends, so he doesn't spill the beans on good developments.
