Ryan Klesko - 9 Million (DNP)
Phil Nevin - 10.47 M (.268, 14, 6, 19, 0)
Steve Finley - 7 M (.275, 8, 1, 7, 3)
Edgardo Alfonzo - 8 M (.188, 1, 0, 0, 0)

I don't think Nevin belong in this discussion for this year at all. Probably not Finley either.

Bagwell's salary is double what Klesko's is.

Thank heaven the Cards ownership is "cheap"

We could have had

Mike Hampton, AJ Burnett, , i cant remember who else, but one more pitcehr that crapped out

But we did get Tino-for-4 a couple years ago. Three years 7 mil each.

Then again we missed out on Randy Johnson, and Pedro

Wait, is Hampton even playing anymore? I can't remember the last time I saw him play, and I watch the games on TBS fairly often. Getting $14.5 million for doing nothing has to be the most overpaid player. At least the other players show up.

Hampton is my pick as well

At least Hampton is half decent.
Chan Ho sucks, period.

At least Park is "working". My vote is for Bonds. ;-7

estaban loiza is nowhere near worth his $21 million...

LiveForever wrote:Wow i cant believe no one has mentioned Jeter yet. Second highest paid player in the game? Thats a joke. Yes hes pretty good at the plate, but he has sub-par defensive skills and his best years are behind him.

PS Dont bring up that 4 rings garbage. That was like six years ago.

i agree... Jeter is so overrated. i know hes the "leader" of the team but hes not worth what theyre paying him

I have come 180 degrees from believing what you do LiveF, simply because he proved me wrong time and time again. It's a matter of perspective of course, but there is no denying the guy is a winner and as positive a player aside from stats a team can have.

Stick his @$$ on the Royals for the next five seasons, then tell me what a winner he is...
