Don't know if they've been mentioned yet or if they actually count...

Willie "Mays" Hayes?
"Crash" Davis?
"Nuke" Laloosh?
Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn?

I don't think anyone mentioned Mr. October ...edit...someone already did ;-D

I like the players that are so dominant that they are called by their first names like Pedro and Ichiro.

Not necessarily, there are always the nicknames that are poking fun at the player. Bonehead Merkle, Bucketfoot Simmons, the various "Rube"s, Schnozz Lombardi, etc. I think the umlaut in Trü denotes sarcastic inflection so it fits right in with the rest of them. :-D

Just like Dr. StrangeGlove Stuart who was given his name for his defensive deficiency.

I'm sure all of Boston is going to collectively whine about this but I don't think of David Ortiz when the nickname "Papi" is mentioned...

Don "The Gerbil" Zimmer
Given to him by Bill Lee
Reporter asks Lee what he thinks of Billy Martin.
Lee responds, "Billy Martin is a no-good dirty rat."
Reporter: "What about Don Zimmer?"
Lee: "He's a gerbil. He has fat pudgy cheeks and kids like him."
