Rowand '06 = Sizemore '05 ?

Any thoughts or too early to tell? Right now he's on pace for 24 HR / 24 SB and he went 24/17 in '04.

I think Rowand is going to finish up right around expecations...

.285, 20 hrs, 20 sbs, 80 runs, 80 rbis.

Nothing earth shattering, but really solid.

I grabbed him in a trade a week or two back and am expecting about that. He'll never be a mega-stud, but 20HR/20SB/.280 is fine by me. I could see 100 runs if he stayed in the 2 spot. And hitting in and around Burrell, Utley, Rollins, and Howard can only be a good thing regardless of batting order. ;-D

Agreed, though I'm hopeful for a BA flirting around .300. He makes a solid 3rd OF, but not much more than that.

I'm probably going to get ripped for this but, I think Sizemore and Rowand may end up with somewhat similar numbers. I think Sizemore was a little over-hyped this year and Rowand is a little under-appreciated.

Rowand was supposed to have a breakout year last year after he hit .319 and had 15 HRs / 8 SBs after the all-star break in '04. I don't see any reason why both of them can't go around 20-25 / 20-25 and hit somewhere around .290-.300. Not a huge difference considering how much value people place in Sizemore as opposed to Rowand. I'd say the only difference is Sizemore may score around 10-15 more runs.

I guess what I'm saying is Rowand is a solid, under-appreciated 3rd OF.

Rowand bats 3rd alot in that lineup, so he'll be pretty solid this year. I can see 20/20.

Lately Rowand has seen most of his playing time behind Howard and Burrell.
