He was 9-4 with a 2.25 era and a k/9 over 10 :-?

You conveniently left out the 48 Walks in 88 IP, good for a 1.25 WHIP

1.25 WHIP? Oh noes! BUST!! :-o :-o

But 48 BB in 88 IP is not even close to being good. That's almost 5 BB per game. This year he is around 4 per game which is still not good.

What really hurts is that this guy slipped to round 10 or 11 in a couple of my leagues and I though tthat was a good risk/reward gamble at that point in the draft. Guess not obviously. Man is not fantasy worthy at this point and you can't trade him for a bag of rocks. I would be happy with a solid mid-tier closer in return at this point a sthat is what I shoul dhave picked up in round 10 or 11 anyway.

Tough situation. In a 10-team mixed league, I just picked him up off of waivers. Bad drop, I say. But telling about his value in any case.

indeed. while others his age are in low a ball or even in college, he's pitching against the best of the best. the tools are there, but the age/experience factor obviously is playing a role in this. he's still getting k's, however, and he will only continue to improve as he becomes more comfortable. yes, his value is low, but you should still be able to sell him based on his potential (that is if you want to, personally i would rather just hang on to him.)
