Sanders also has a world series championship, which is an accolade that many in the hall dont have

Sanders is a quality guy I'm sure, but he's not HOF material. Lifetime .267??? ouch Just not worthy of the hall yet.

Obviously, Sanders isn't a Hall of Famer. But he is chronically underrated and has been his entire career. But that's the only case to be made here.

But Ozzie Smith was clearly a Hall-of-Famer, just because of his defense. The guy was simply amazing. He made plays that nobdoy else has ever made since.

While the career hitting numbers aren't great, the guy was CLUTCH -- clutch like D. Jeter.

Don't diss on the Wizard. :-)

I thought we were talking about Reggie? :-?

I'm not the one who brought up Ozzie Smith. But since his name was brought up, don't cry when I defend the guy.

He got voted in for backflips and a play he made with the Padres.

Second, the notion that Ozzie got in just because of back flips is an utter absurdity. :-t

Sanders never even made it through one whole season - 140 games was his career high and 505 at bats.
He is a great fantasy player no doubt, but a hall-of-famer??? That is a joke.

Not really a joke, 300 HR's and 300 steals is quite an accomplishment, I just dont see Sanders making it.

No really, its pretty much a joke. Reggie has been a "good" player for a long time. Never has he even really had any "really good" seasons, (maybe 2), let alone great, which is what you should be to make the Hall.

1 season over a .300 avg (.306)
2 seasons at/over 30 HR (33 high)
3 seasons at/over .900 OPS

NO season of 100+ RBI or Runs

No where near a hall of fame career!!
