Why hasn't Furcal been mentioned? Being a Phillies fan I used to see him when the Braves came in and he can fly. Or is it just me? :-?

I went to a Devil Rays game once and wow. Gathright can flat out run. I know Reyes is fast too and have seen him on the tube only but I have a hard time believeing Reyes is faster than Gathright. It would be sweet to see some of the fastest guys in the majors race each other in the 100 yd. dash or something.

I don't hear a lot about Freddy Bynum, but from what I can see he's at least faster than Pierre. And Pierre is still very fast. More than his speed though, the jump he gets on the basepaths is what has been getting him steals this year. For all the crappy OBP he's had so far, he's still stealing lots of bases.

Gathright is supposedly the fastest guy in the majors, but I haven't seen him play much at all.
(taps little picture of a microphone)... is this thing on?

I would imagine Sizemore is fast since he is so athletic. If Im not mistaking I thought he was a safety or something in college football in the Washington area? V. Wells also looks pretty quick.

I mentioned Roberts. Freel is faster than Lopez not sure where Lopez ranks (he gets some good jumps though). Rollins seems to have lost a step or 2. Roberts is the fastest that you listed, thougb Ramirez is kind of still a mystery to me.

Thanks Snakes Gould, its tough getting respect here sometimes :-D

Yeh there will be a guy with speed who will run every time he is on base. It will come in a couple of years like 5 or so.

I hear Marcus Sanders (future Giant 2B) is super fast. Maybe he could steal 100 SB in a few years?
