Um, that team is terrible. Shelton, Giles, Winn, Michaels, Dmitri Young, both catchers.. You have plenty of options.. :-o

I'd expect him to not hit for more than 15 or so homers this year, but he could swipe 20-25 with a .280 average and a nice number of runs if he can stick at hitting 3rd. For now, I would look at him as a hot plugin, but remember that he certainly has the talent to stick.

Sounds a lot like Ian Kinsler.
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

As a Stros fan, let me share info on Burke's future....

Chris Burke will not be playing 2B next year. Biggio is at least a year away from retiring. If he stays on next year, he is pretty much a lock for 3K hits. The Astros will welcome him back with open arms. He is hitting a tad under .300 this year and is still scoring plenty of runs.

I do think Burke has earned himself a spot on the everyday roster though. Preston Wilson/Jason Lane/Willie T have been complete bums this year. Garner seems to like hitting #3 in the line up too. With Berkman behind him, I think he has plenty of opps to score runs.

Would you drop Michaels for him, considering Michaels may be hitting the DL?

The problem with Burke hitting third is the stros are unlikely to run him in front of Berkman. When Taveras was hitting second, the didn't send him at all. Although Burke has the speed to steal 25 bases, i don't know if it will really happen.
