He was dropped in one my leagues. I will certainly flag him and pick him up before someone else realizes he pitches better in the second half.

2005- 172 k's in 2005 innings
2004- 72 k's in 92 innings

He has a wicked changeup, and unless NL hitters are starting to figure him out (which i doubt) look for him to have a big 2nd half in all 5x5 categories.

I have both him and Blanton in one league, and I can't wait for this 2nd half! ;-D

He's really been struggling with command so far this year, but has managed to not completely blow up. The declining K rate is worrysome, but that might be attributed to his injury problem at the beginning of the season sapping some velocity.

Anywho, I fully believe Lowry will finish the season with a 3.5 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 7 K/9.

A lot of people seem to think Lowry has been awful, but I really don't think he's been all that bad. He's been inconsistent this season but if you look at his game log, most of his starts have been very good. Athough some of his starts have been pretty mediocre, he hasnt really killed his owners in any game yet- besides his last outing when he allowed 5 ERS in 3 innings. I am an owner of Lowry and I really think he's going to turn it on soon.

this whole thing of being a second half guy???.....he only had one good second half last year.....and he was supposed to turn in a good performance this year.....so far he has showed some good performances.....against Seattle he was bad.....he didn't like the mound up there....these are things that will change with age....I like him in a keeper, but this year just aint the year boys.....he is still a young tike gettin wet......peace honky

He is young, but has plenty of major league experience, and success.

You are right though, we can't consider someone a "2nd half player" unless they consistently perform better in the 2nd half for atleast 2-3 years. ;-D
