Give up on Teixeira?

Postby v1rtuoso » Thu Jun 29, 2006 1:00 am

So he shows some life this weekend only to follow it up with an 0 for 12.

I'm ready to dump him. What does everyone think?

You can't drop him because you know someone in your league is going to pick him up and take the risk with him. And everyone knows his potential even though he sucks the big one this year. You have to wait it out

I'm looking to trade him actually. I just offered him and Aram for Arod.

I wish you luck that he accepts that trade. I consider A-Rod breaking out of the slump much more likely than anyone else.

Don't dump him. Trade him or wait him out. He should be able to get hot at least once!!! I hope!

You dump flash-in-the-pan crap like Chris Shelton, you don't dump your first rounder.

i can't believe you actually suggested dumping your first round pick!!! If you did something like that you wouldn't even belong in fantasy sports. I dont even suggest ever trading your first round pick. Stick with the guy. You've held on this long, you wont get any kind of good value for him now. His line drive this week that was obviously fair would have been 3 RBIs for him, things just aren't going his way. If you have managed to stay close in standings without your first rounder performing up to snuff then imagine where you will be once he turns it on. Fantasy baseball is not about drafting the right guys, its about managing your team when you best players do not perform the way they should. Drop him??? come on now....

Quit fantasy baseball, stick with fantasy football and start drinking heavily.

I keep telling you guys throughout all these Teix messages.. He's nothing but a mediocre 25-28 HR, 85-95 RBI type guy this year (and he's have to go like 21 HR and 50+ RBI just to reach that in the 2nd half..YEAH RIGHT). HE WILL NOT get past 32+ HR's or 100+ RBI.. He's a BUST this year.. Im just happy I dumped him for Ryan Howard back in April ;-D ;-D
