Will Melvin Mora pick up where he left off?

Postby kcs261 » Thu Aug 28, 2003 9:09 am

...When he comes off the DL? Or will his hand injury slow him down in September? I'm thinking about grabbing him to platoon at SS, UI, and even in the OF. Thoughts?

Mora

He left off at .053 clip in his last six games ... there is another post on this in the Trade Waiver section, but essentially some of his teammates say he is hamming up his injury to protect his average heading into a contract year.

Like Michael Young at 2B in TX, he is having a career year -- he's not a .330 hitter.

I don't think Mora is worth a pickup at this point. Not sure, just have a feeling that he's going to be pressing with it being a contract year and all.

He is very overacheiving this year. No question on how well he played before he was injured. But his career numbers tell us a lot. Don't expect much from him.
